Online or Offline Learning?

Which is better, online or offline learning? This was the topic for discussion during the English Grammar club in ‘Window on America’ center in Kherson. Our visitors named some pros and cons of the new meeting format and, as always we devoted most of the time to grammar practice.

The popularity of online courses and online learning has increased significantly in recent times. After attending several online events, our participants identified the following disadvantages:

- the lack of live communication with the facilitator and other students;

- technical difficulties and problems with the Internet connection complicate the learning process.

The arguments pro were:

- the lessons are in a convenient place at a convenient time;

- we don’t spend time on trips around the town.

We have agreed that online meetings are the best opportunity during the quarantine, but we look forward to seeing each other offline.
