Workshop "Words Magic: Creating a Perfect Motivation Letter"

On November 20, Window on America Kherson organized a training session with the Education Commission, the Erudite Club of the City Student Parliament, and guest speaker Sofia Vajda. Sofia is an EducationUSA ambassador, a graduate of the Global UGRAD exchange program, and a true expert in writing persuasive motivation letters.

Participants learned:
✅ What is a motivation letter and how to write it correctly;
✅ The ideal structure of a letter;
✅ How to avoid common mistakes;
✅ Life hacks that will help you stand out from the crowd;
✅ How to convince the admissions committee.

In the beginning, participants took a quiz to test their knowledge, and then Sofia shared secrets on how to make the text of a motivation letter convincing and effective. In the interactive part, participants tried themselves in the role of the admissions committee, evaluating the arguments of real motivation letters. At the end of the training, participants created a word cloud on the topic "What is success?".

This event was important for those planning to apply to universities, apply for scholarships, or start a career. It turned out that writing a good motivation letter is easy if you know the rules and structure!
