Child Stories,Tongue Twister, and Games
1/21/12 – Eight participants came to the "Funny English" club. After our introductions, we worked on a tongue twister: Around the rugged rocks ran ragged rascals; the kids were able to get pretty quick at saying this twister. Next, we had a listening exercise around similar sounding numbers. We followed this with a few rounds of 'buzz'; 'buzz' is an activity where you go around the circle and each person gives a subsequent number, however all multiples of three are replaced by the word 'buzz'. Finally, we told stories; we each selected a simple picture and each participant contributed a line to our story. One story involved sleeping by the pyramids in Egypt (being unafraid, of course!) and having a dream of returning home to find a giant magnet living in the apartment.
