 The weekly meeting of the "English for Everyone" club in the Window on America on 19/3/2011 was dedicated to topics on protecting the environment and on ecological problems with which we are in contact in every day life. This problem is very real in Ukraine, the USA and other countries. The discussion topic for the meeting was selected because of the situation which developed in Japan after its cataclysmic earthquake and tsunami. Members of the club put forth the following subjects:

 - effects of radioactive pollution

- influence of people on the environment and on the condition of flora and fauna

- disappearance of certain animals and plants from their normal environments

 As usual, the club meeting was conducted in an interactive format, using existing presentations on related topics, searching for information in books and in electronic resources such as full text databases and the Internet. This meeting significantly increased the language skills of the club members and was full of information for individuals of all ages. More pictures.
