Ghosts, Witches, and Other Spirits
The Easy English for Kids speaking club had its next meeting on October 31. Sure, it was dedicated to Halloween. This holiday has not become familiar to us although it is very popular with children. On this day, you should dress up as various evil spirits, come to your neighbors or friends, scare them with your appearance, tell them "trick or treat", and get sweets. One of the symbols of the holiday is a lamp in the form of a pumpkin head. Today our young participants learned why it is called Jack-o-lantern. The interactive whiteboard exercises and crossword puzzles helped us to repeat the words related to this topic. Different moving games as "Blow the Ghost", "Ghosts and a Witch" entertained and created a festive mood. Of course, all participants received candy for well-done tasks. Now our holiday is over, but next week we will meet again to learn English together.
