Higher Education in USA

 Do you know the difference between private and public colleges in the United States? When was the first college in the USA open to women or afro-american? What is the average cost of education in the United States and are there benefits for education, such as those in Ukraine? How corrupt is education in the United States? There were many questions on this topic for the Peace Corps volunteers and they needed to answer all of them. 

The topic "Education in the United States" was not randomly chosen for the regular meeting of the talk club that took place in the "Window on America" center 9.4.2011. This subject was a point of interest within the framework of 10th year anniversary of learning as announced by the UN as well as the direction of those changes that are occuring in Ukraine's system of higher education: tests and entrance exams, quality of learning and institutional ratings, students and teacher requirements, corruption and so forth.
