The members of the CLIO history club visited Window on America in Kherson where Tetyana Donchenko told them interesting facts about the life and sea fights of John Paul Jones. John Paul Jones was the United States' first well-known naval commander in the American Revolutionary War, one of the founders of the U.S. Navy, commander of the Black Sea sailing flotilla, honorary Cossack.
The lecturer told the biography of John Paul - and it was really impressive! Particular attention was paid to his participation in the Russo-Turkish war for southern Ukraine and the Black Sea coast. The meeting also reviewed books dedicated to this person. You can read them by visiting our library.
