One Chance to Make a First Impression

The saying «You only have one chance to make a first impression» holds true in many situations. First impressions matter so much because they happen fast. We make judgments about other people in a nanosecond. And once that impression is formed, it is very, very hard to change it. That is why the center Window on America in Oles Honchar Kherson Regional Library suggested the topic of «First Impression» for discussion. The discussion was useful not only to improve English language skills but also to improve their communication skills during the first communication and subsequent meetings.
