Speaking club for English language teachers
A speaking club for English language teachers selected for the first series of meetings has started. This pilot project is conducted jointly by RELO (Regional English Language Office) and the "Window on America" network of centers.
We already had two interesting meetings with Mary Restom, a teacher from California. The participants got to know each other and discussed the challenges they faced in teaching. The attendees discussed several important topics, such as learning new words in English classes, favorite exercises, and techniques for effective teaching.
Mary also shared some of her favorite techniques, including the Scattergories game. It's a great vocabulary-building exercise that adds interactivity to the class. Each meeting of the professional club is an opportunity to get inspiration, exchange experience and find new ideas for work!
