MakerSpace: Innovations that are already working
The Maker Space, which operates at the Kherson Window on America center, continues to introduce visitors to modern technologies and the capabilities of innovative equipment. The creation and development of this space were made possible thanks to the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine, which helps to provide access to new knowledge, STEM, and modern digital tools for young people and the library community.
During one of the meetings, a Maker Space specialist introduced visitors to the operation of a plotter and a 3D printer, and also showed how this equipment can be used in creative and educational projects. Participants learned more about creating templates, stencils, decorative elements, and printing three-dimensional models from digital layouts.
Freedom 250 stickers were cut out on the plotter, and a silhouette of a girl created using ChatGPT was printed on a 3D printer. Attendees were able to see the entire process — from digital idea to finished product. The Maker Space continues to expand its capabilities and provides users with access to new technologies.
