Why does the library present dollar bills

Everyone had a dollar bill at WOA on February, 10. It was a souvenir banknote. Our guests were watching a TED video “What gives a dollar bill its value” and discussed it. In fact, monetary policy is set by an independent Federal Reserve System in the USA. The members talked about the purpose of currency, its source, inflation and deflation, the unemployment rate.
