Rebirth of the Glossy Magazine

The exhibit provided by the America House Kyiv «Gallery-on-the-Go» program reached Window on America center in Kherson. «Rebirth of the Glossy Magazine» project by Olexandra Havryliuk aims to give the second life to old magazines. Speaking about ecology, collections of old magazines should be donated to recycling points or to charity. Olexandra had an unusual idea to use them for creative work. She was interested in working with paper. The magazines she used were gathered by her family, friends, and acquaintances. During a year she created more than forty collages devoted to human identification, its relationship with nature, urban environment and society.
