'YELLOWHAMMER" FROM ALABAMA

Alabama is nicknamed the Yellowhammer State, after the state bird.The yellowhammer became the official state bird of Alabama in 1927. Soldiers from Alabama were nicknamed “yellowhammers” in the Civil War due to their grey-and-yellow uniforms, which matched the colors of the bird. We watched some videos and played a quiz about Alabama state on January, 6 2019. Then the members of the club discussed the New Year’s traditions and did different activities.
