We say one thing, the other person hears something else, and misunderstandings, frustration, and conflicts ensue. For many of us, communicating more clearly and effectively requires learning some important skills. A study commissioned in 2008 revealed that employees spend 2.8 hours per week dealing with conflict. Before the conflict resolution process begins, a set of ground rules should be distributed to all participants. Examples of ground rules could be: avoid generalizations, stay with the current issue, and remain seated at all times. On June 9, 2019 Kherson WOA Speaking Club members presented themselves, trained to understand other participants’ thoughts and saw each other’s eyes.
