«Robot Mio»: An Introduction to Robotics and Programming

The Maker Space Kherson hosted a presentation of the Clementoni Mio Robot, an interactive robot-building kit from the Science & Play series. The session introduced participants to the robot’s operating principles and to the basics of robotics and programming within the STEM approach.

The participants assembled the Robot Mio themselves by following the instructions and explored its main features. The robot is equipped with infrared sensors that allow it to detect obstacles and follow a hand. It can also find metal objects using its retractable magnet. The practical part of the session focused on programming. Participants tried giving the robot commands using the control panel on its back and the mobile application, which offers block-based programming and real-time control.

The presentation provided an opportunity to explore the basic principles of a robotic device through hands-on experience and to take the first steps in programming.
