Green Card 2013

The third Saturday of each September we celebrate the Day of Kherson . So it was the first topic of discussion at weekly meeting of library’s talk-club “English for Everybody” September 22.
Then 16 participants were given information about American diversity and immigration, including quotations from President Obama’s speech.
Each year, around 50,000 immigrant visas are made available through the Diversity Visa (DV) program, also known as the Green Card Lottery to people who were born in countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.
Club members were discussing different details and peculiarities of the Green Card Lottery. By the way 6424 Ukrainians won in the Lottery 2013.
